What is EPH2?

I’m Randy Williams and, yes, EPH2 (“F2”) is an unusual name for a business. That said, I hope that it reflects who I am, both in and out of the workplace.

Simply, EPH2 is a nod to the second chapter of Ephesians, a constant reminder for me to be humble and serve others. Family, friends, clients, journalists, investors, analysts, and everyone in between.

To that end, my career has shown me that success begins with relationships, by developing bonds through mutual respect and trust, through honesty and integrity.

I spent my first decade of work as a Dow Jones Newswires journalist in New York, serving with a dedicated and talented group of editors and reporters, many of whom are now leading journalists at major organizations.

Another 10 years was devoted to leading PR and investor relations at Bats Global Markets where I worked with visionary colleagues to change the trading landscape. Over the decade, we grew from a scrappy startup in a Kansas City strip mall to one of the largest exchange groups in the world, culminating in our successful 2016 IPO. Putting a fine point on it, CBOE purchased Bats less than a year later at roughly 2x our valuation at IPO.

Building upon my experiences, my third act is ongoing and every bit as enjoyable as I work with established and young companies, including pre-IPO and other pre-exit organizations, to help tell their stories to the world.

That’s where you, the innovative entrepreneur and leader, come in. As the founder and sole proprietor of EPH2, I’d love the chance to hear your story, learn about your business and discuss a partnership that would position each of us for great success.
